OCA President Talks Full Success of Asian Games

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), arrived inGuangzhou for the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games on November 11.

After enjoying the splendid Opening Ceremony, OCA President sincerely talked about his anticipation for the Guangzhou Asian Games. His Excellency said that the 16th Asian Games can be divided into four stages: firstly, preparations prior to the Games like recepetions in the airport, accreditations, and accomodations in Asian Games Town, went on smoothly; secondly, the unique and magnificent Opening Ceremony on November 12 set up a good example in transportation in and out of Haixinsha Island; thirdly, it is important to make sure that all athletes will have fair play, a good environment for their participation and he hopes it can be continued until the Closing Ceremony on November 27;for the fourth part, he focuses on the added vaules to the sporting gala, that is education, culture, art, and how to make some events not only sports but in other fields.

"If we are successful with those four, this will give us the full success of the Games," added His Excellency.
