China Wins Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay

China, Rome World Championships winner of the Women's 4x200m Freestyle relay, won the gold of the event at Guangzhou Asian Games here on November 16.

The host team dominated the whole race to clock seven minutes and 51.81 seconds, while Japan trailed in 7:55.92.

South Korea took the bronze in 8:07.78.

"I want to say thank you to my teammates," said 17-year-old Tang. "They had a wonderful performance."

"I am really happy to win the silver," said Japanese Hanae Ito. "The Chinese team performed very well, and we should learn from them."

"I learned a lot at the Asian Games, and I think the pool here is very good," she added.
