China's Ma Liyun Takes Women's BMX Gold

China's Ma Liyun won the gold medal in Women's Race when cycling BMX made its Asiad debut at the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games here on November 19.

Ma, 22, is the top ranked rider among the four participating athletes in women's event. She also won the 2010 Asian Championships to add to the titles she won in 2008 and 2009.

Ayaka Miwa from Japan grabbed the silver. Miwa came second in the Asian championships and is ranked second in the UCI Asian rankings.

China's Yue Cong took the third.
