More Foreign Parties, Organizations Congratulate CPC on National Congress
 

More parties, organizations and their leaders from around the world have congratulated the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the convocation of its 17th National Congress.

James A. Michel, general secretary of the Seychelles People's Progressive Front, said in his congratulatory message that the convening of the Congress showed China is forcefully coping with various challenges in order to achieve a fair and harmonious development.

The concept of pragmatism, strength and solidarity advocated by the CPC has gained respect and appreciation from foreign parties that have maintained friendly relations and cooperation with the CPC for years, the message added.

Levy Patrick Mwanawasa, president of Zambia's Movement for Multi-party Democracy and president of Zambia, said in his congratulatory message that he hoped the CPC's "continued leadership of the friendly and dynamic Chinese nation" will bring more prosperity to China.

Mahmoud Abbas, chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and president of the Palestinian National Authority, said in his message that he hoped to strengthen friendly cooperation between the two sides and wished the CPC every success in continuously advancing and achieving its goals.

Ferenc Gyurcsany, President of the Hungarian Socialist Party and prime minister of the country, said in his message that his recent visit to China was an excellent opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

"The Hungarian Socialist Party is committed to the further development of the mutually beneficial Hungarian-Chinese cooperation," he said.

Abdel Aziz Belkhadem, general secretary of the Party of National Liberation Front of Algeria, said in his message that his party is willing to further expand and deepen the traditional relations with the CPC and to promote consultation and cooperation between the two parties.

Muhamed Safwat El-Sherif, general secretary of the National Democratic Party of Egypt, said in his message the party, which maintains close and friendly relations of cooperation with the CPC, has kept a close watch on the efforts made by the CPC in guiding China to progress and development. He expressed the hope that the friendly relations between the two parties, two countries and two peoples will forge ahead continuously.

Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Nationals Party, Mark Vaile, said in his message that the convocation of the National Congress is of significance for the CPC and China.

"The Nationals value the friendly party-to-party relations which we have with the Ccommunist Party of China and we look forward to those relations continuing in the future," he said.

OH Choong-il, Chairman of the United New Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea, said his party is confident that the current session will bring new momentum to the CPC's efforts to lead the country to prosperity.

B. Zhumagulov, first vice president of the People's Democratic Party "Nur Otan" of Kazakhstan, said the high-level partnership established between the two parties would vigorously boost the development of their relations, which conform to the interests of the two peoples.

Abdallah Alfranji, head of Foreign Relation Commission of the Palestine National Liberation Movement (FATAH), expressed his hope in his message that the ongoing National Congress would successfully map out plans for the future development of building socialism with Chinese characteristics for China and the CPC.

Guido Westerwelle, leader of the Free Democratic Party of Germany, said in his message that the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games is a great opportunity for China to show its tradition and changes to the world. He hoped the discussions at the Congress would achieve desired results.

Francisco Frutos, general secretary of the Communist Party of Spain, said in his message the CPC's achievements have brought hopes for the creation of a more beautiful world.

The party Congress will further facilitate construction of a harmonious socialist society, and will once again prove the CPC's powerful organizational ability, he said.

In its message, the Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party expressed the wishes that the CPC would achieve bigger success in pushing for social development and progress, and continuously realize its goals in building the socialist society.

The Portuguese Communist Party is willing to further deepen the friendly relations of cooperation with the CPC, said the message.

Marios Karoyian, chairman of the Democratic Party of Cyprus, expressed best wishes for the CPC to achieve its political, economic and social goals.

"We envisage the strengthening of the traditionally excellent ties between our two parties for the progress and prosperity of our peoples," he said.

Jacob Dickie Nkate, general secretary of the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), said the Central Committee of the BDP extends its "unreserved support to and solidarity with" the CPC on the occasion of the party Congress.

"We will spare no efforts in the days to come to further strengthen the bonds of friendship, cooperation and solidarity with your Party," he said.

Evariste Boshab, general secretary of the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy of the Democratic Republic of Congo, said the convocation of the party Congress is bound to further advance the CPC's consistent efforts in promoting the people's well-being and pursuing social development, and to maintain the South-South cooperation.

Sekou Konate, general secretary of the Party of Unity and Progress of Guinea, said the Political Bureau of his party and himself extend warm congratulation on the convocation of the 17th National Congress of the CPC, expecting the congress to make feasible decisions to strengthen the friendly relations and mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Hama Amadou, president of the National Movement for the Society of Development - NASSARA of Niger, said his party is ready to continue to consolidate the existing relations of cooperation with the CPC and to make sustained efforts to enhance the friendly ties between Niger and China.

Jose Maria Pereira Neves, president of the African Party of Independence of Cape Verde (PAICV), said the PAICV greatly admires the wisdom and courage of the CPC in striving for the nation's political, economic and social development.

China, as a rising economic power, has become a model for African countries, including Cape Verde, that are working hard to achieve economic and social progress, he said.

Jorge Santos, chairman of the Movement for Democracy of Cape Verde, said China, under the brilliant leadership of the CPC, has followed the right path all along and continuously scored great achievements of development.

He expressed the hope that the new leadership elected by the ongoing CPC Congress will continue to devote itself to the cause of economic, social and cultural development, and together with the peoples of the many developing countries that shoulder the same mission, continue to support and help each other.
