Full Text of the Report on the Work of the Government 2011

The following is the full text of the Report on the Work of the Government delivered by Premier Wen Jiabao at the Fourth Session of the Eleventh National People's Congress on March 5, 2011 and adopted on March 14, 2011:

I. Review of National Economic and Social Development During 11th Five-Year Plan Period

1. Strengthening and improving macro-control, and spurring steady and rapid economic development

2. Striving to do our work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers well, and consolidating and strengthening the agricultural foundation

3. Strongly promoting economic restructuring and improving the quality and performance of economic growth

4. Determinedly working to deepen reform and opening up, and strengthening the internal vitality of economic and social development

5. Accelerating the development of social undertakings and genuinely ensuring and improving the people's wellbeing

II. Main Objectives and Tasks for the Twelfth Five-Year Plan Period

III. Work for 2011

1. Keeping overall price levels basically stable

2. Further expanding domestic demand, especially consumer demand

3. Consolidating and strengthening the position of agriculture as the foundation of the economy

4. Accelerating strategic economic restructuring

5. Vigorously implementing the strategy of reinvigorating the country through science and education and the strategy of strengthening the country through human resource development

6. Strengthening social development and ensuring and improving the wellbeing of the people

7. Vigorously enhancing cultural development

8. Deepening reforms in key areas

9. Further improving our work of opening to the outside world

10. Strengthening efforts to promote clean government and combat corruption
