Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province saw its trade with Russia rise 4 percent year on year to 127.1 billion yuan ($18.5 billion) in 2019, local authorities said.
The northernmost province's trade with Russia accounted for 85.5 percent of its total import and export values with Belt and Road countries last year. Its trade with Belt and Road countries rose 5 percent year on year in 2019.
According to Harbin Customs, Heilongjiang's foreign trade rose 6.4 percent year on year to 186 billion yuan in 2019 and its exports saw an 18.8 percent increase to 34.94 billion yuan.
The province saw the largest export growth in mechanical and electrical products in 2019, rising 17.5 percent over the previous year. Its export of agricultural products and other labor-intensive products such as textiles and clothes also realized major increases.
The province has been making trade facilitation efforts and innovative measures to boost cross-border trade and deepen opening-up in recent years.
