Why the U.S. is Quitting the Nuclear Arms Treaty is an article detailing the motivations for the U.S. pulling out of the INF treaty which was signed at the culmination of the Cold War. The bilateral treaty between the United States and the former Soviet Union prevented the proliferation of intermediate range nuclear weapons.
