Yi Huiman

Yi Huiman, former chairman of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), was appointed chairman and Party chief of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, China's top securities watchdog, replacing Liu Shiyu, Xinhua News Agency reported on January 26.

Born in east China's Zhejiang Province in 1964, Yi was deputy head of the ICBC branch in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang from 1994 to 1998.

He also served as the deputy head of ICBC's Zhejiang provincial branch from 1998 to 2000 and head of the ICBC Jiangsu provincial branch in east China from 2000 to 2005.

Other roles include the Party chief of the ICBC Beijing municipal branch from 2005 to 2008, Vice President of ICBC from 2008 to 2013, as well as President from 2013 to 2016. He was Party chief and chairman of ICBC from 2016 until his recent appointment.
