There is no other time of year that stirs Chinese people's yearning for home more than the Spring Festival. Many children will go back to their hometown with their parents during the holiday to spend time with their big family. This year, the Lunar New Year falls on February 8. For most Chinese, the Spring Festival provides a precious chance to reunite with families. During the weeklong holiday, they will visit relatives and old friends. The Chinese Spring Festival travel rush, known as Chunyun, started on January 24 this year, marking the beginning of the world's largest annual human migration. According to Ministry of Transport, around 2.91 billion trips are expected via road, rail, air and water until March 3. |
