Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (XINHUA)
The load testing of the monumental Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's main structure was completed on November 14, meaning that the project has now entered the acceptance period. The bridge is set to be open to traffic soon.
Spanning the waters of Lingdingyang, the transport infrastructure project will connect Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the east, and Macao Special Administrative Region and Zhuhai City of Guangdong Province in the west. Reaching a total length of 55 km and consisting of a series of bridges as well as an undersea tunnel, it will be the world's longest sea-crossing structure.
