CPPCC Celebrates 50 Years Anniversary of Historical Documents Collection Work
A national meeting to mark the 50 years anniversary of cultural and historical documents collection work was held in Beijing Wednesday

A national meeting to mark the 50 years anniversary of cultural and historical documents collection work was held in Beijing Wednesday.

More than 170 people across the nation attended the celebration.

Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with all members before the meeting was held. He also visited an exhibition displaying the 50-year achievements in this regard.

"Historical document collection is an important work for the CPPCC. It has played an essential role for the operation of the nation's patriotic united front and opening-up and reform," said Wang Gang, vice chairman of CPPCC's National Committee who was also present at the meeting.

He urged all participants to further promote the work.
