England Football superstar David Beckham kicked off his five-day tour in China on March 20 to take on work as an ambassador for the Chinese Super League (CSL) and the Youth Football Program.

The 37-year-old, who was named the first global ambassador of the CSL in February, launched into his duties immediately after his arrival in the Chinese capital, visiting two local schools to promote football.

"I am very proud to be here as the ambassador for the Chinese Super League and have a chance to help the children in China who love football," said the former England national team captain.

"Children are the future. I want to do everything possible to help children in China to become professional footballers one day," he added.
