Share

South China's Guangdong Province on Sunday reported a human case of H7N9 bird flu.

A 66-year-old man died on December 3 in Meizhou City. He tested positive for the H7N9 virus on Saturday, Guangdong provincial health and family planning commission said in a statement.

This is the second human infection with H7N9 this winter in Guangdong.

On November 28, a 31-year-old woman from the city of Dongguan was confirmed with the virus. She remains in a critical condition at a hospital in the provincial capital of Guangzhou.
