A harmonious world begins in the mind

May 25, 2006

Your editor's desk on "A harmonious world begins in the mind" on Chinese Buddhism in China for more than two and a half millennia. It is true that Buddhism is one of the great religions in the world. With its ancient religious dogma, old adage and immutable beliefs hold a firm sways on the minds of millions of its followers. Since then, time has moved on. In this modern world, with its modern sciences and technologies, more and more people have opted for pro-active lifestyle and the rules of law. As the societies progress, we meet more challenges and we actively conserve, protect and manage our environment from continuous deteriorations.
