Director Wong Jing says his new film will not just make the audience laugh - it will make them laugh their heads off.

"You will laugh throughout the film," the Hong Kong director told those who attended the premiere of On His Majesty's Secret Service on Thursday in Beijing. "And you will laugh off your seat."

The film revolves around a weird inventor living in ancient times, who tries his crazy ideas on everything. After a series of humorous twists and turns, he somehow ends up becoming a savior.

Louis Koo plays the lead role and is supported by Barbie Hsu, Sandra Ng, and Song Jia.

The film will open in mainland theaters on July 30.
