Israeli war movie Lebanon by director Samuel Maoz won the top prize at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday.
The story told about the Israel's 1982 invasion of the Middle East country through the eyes of four soldiers in a tank. Best director went to Iranian-born Shirin Neshat for Women Without Men.
The Best director award went to Iranian-born Shirin Neshat for Women Without Men, best actor went to Britain's Colin Firth in designer Tom Ford's directorial debut A Single Man, and best actress went to Russian Ksenia Rappoport for La Doppia Ora.
