Russian film The Dawns Here Are Quiet has premiered in Beijing on August 20.
The war film centers on five female solders' fight against the Nazi during the World War II.
Renat Davletyarov, director of the film, said the film is not a remake of the classic 1972 novel-turned movie of the same name, which had a great influence in China.
He said it is a different film that's also based on the 1969 novel of the same name.
The movie is set to hit screens next Tuesday as part of the celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of the anti-fascist war victory.
The premier is held at the Russian Embassy to China.
Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping and Russian Ambassador to China Andrei Denisov also attended the event.
