Lai Chun Olympic Hotel, a new five star hotel invested by a Macau company will be built in Beijing to offer free service to the 2008 Olympic Games.

The hotel will be located on downtown Wangfujing Street and will have a construction area of over 130 thousand square meters.

With an investment of 2.2 billion yuan or about US$29 million, the Southern European styled luxury hotel will be completed in March next year.

According to Mr Chow Kam-fai, CEO of Lai Chun Macau, investor of the hotel, the hotel will be designated as the official reception hotel for the Beijijng Olympics and will be for free during the Games. The move, he says, well demonstrates his desire to repay the motherland.
