Heavy Rains
Citizens fish in Yanjiang Park in the city of Qingyuan, south China's Guangdong Province, on May 24, 2012. Heavy rains left much of the park submerged as water levels in reservoirs and major rivers swell above warning levels, leaving 5 people missing and 93 houses collapsed, as well as wiping out 4,213 hectares of farmland and further affecting around 83,500 people. The Central Meteorological Observatory forecast that strong downpours will continue to bombard provinces in southern China until Monday night (XINHUA)
