China's Jumbo Jet on Show in Paris

(XINHUA)

A life-size model of a C919 aircraft is on display at the 49th Paris Air Show on June 20.

The C919 plane will be the largest plane designed and manufactured in China. Its maximum passenger capacity is 190. The baseline version of C919 features 168 seats in its all-economy class layout and 156 seats for its hybrid class layout.

It's designed for a standard range of 4,075 km and extended range of 5,555 km, which will enable it to operate on diverse routes. The first test flight of the C919 will take place in 2014, and it will enter service by 2016.
