Celebrating National Day

(CNSPHOTO)

Tourists visit Tiananmen Square in Beijing on September 25. The square was decorated with flowers and a 15-meter-high giant lantern to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

During the National Day holiday (October 1-7) every year, Tiananmen Square is always one of the must-see scenic spots in the city for tourists. The Chang'an Avenue, which runs alongside the square, has also been decorated with 700,000 pots of flowers this year.
