China Fashion Week, China's premiere fashion event, was held for the 15th consecutive year from October 24 to November 2 in Beijing, displaying the 2012 spring and summer collections of various fashion designers.

For the first time, the event was title sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, world famous automobile manufacturer and sponsor of many significant international fashion events such as New York Fashion Week. The sponsorship suggests China's fashion industry may be gradually moving closer to the core area of international fashion circles.

As the grand finale of China's fashion event list this year, the fashion week attracted many of the most successful fashion brands and best quality fashion designers in China, among whom five were winners of the Jingding Award, or Golden Thimble Award, the highest fashion design award in China. In addition, 13 Chinese and foreign fashion designers made their debut during the fashion week. The creative designers, elegant performances of the models, colorful costumes and gorgeous runway stages made the event a great success.
