China has established the world largest donors' database for hematopoietic stem cells for Chinese people, consisting of the data of over 500,000 donors.
The Red Cross Society of China reported Monday that up until the end of 2005, China had established 30 sub-databases at provincial levels and built up partner and high-definition labs.
Over 3,000 patients have found the suitable stem cells in the databases up until the end of 2005.
The database also provides searching services for patients in the United States and Hong Kong and offers them hematopoietic stem cells.
