Intelligent Vehicle Challenger to Kick off in Inner Mongolia

The fourth Chinese intelligent vehicle challenger will kick off on October 31 in Ongniod Banner of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Over 10 teams across the country will attend the annual challenger to showcase their latest sensor-controlling technology. Intelligent vehicle, also called unmanned car, combines many advanced technologies, such as GPS, environment sensoring, process computing and executive controlling.

In 2008, China Natural Science Foundation started the research plan of visual and auditory information computing to develop experimental platform of intelligent vehicles.
