A 17-member delegation of foreign journalists completed a four-day journey to Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China.
The tour was organized by the Information Department of Foreign Ministry.
During their stay in Lhasa, they visited Lamaseries, schools, and the Lhasa Railway Station and talked with Tibetan lamas, students, herdsmen and farmers as well as tourists.
They also attended a press conference hosted by Gumbo Tashi, a Standing Committee member and secretary-general of the autonomous region's committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The foreign reporters were informed of the situation of religion, tourism and economic development and environmental protection in Tibet, by local government officials including Lhasa Mayor Doje Cezhug.
"We expect that foreign journalists see and feel a real Tibet by their own," Gumbo Tashi said.
