Japanese War Criminal Confessions Compiled
Share

Chinese publishers have compiled the written confessions of 45 Japanese war criminals in 11 new books, as domestic authorities continue their drive to raise awareness on China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945).

Published by the People's Publishing House and the Sichuan People's Publishing House on Thursday, the books follow the recent serialization of the confessions on the State Archives Administration's website.

The confessions printed in the 6,000 pages of the 11 volumes are scans of the originals accompanied by Chinese translations.

All the war criminals were tried by a special military tribunals under the Supreme People's Court in 1956.
