China Delighted to See New Progress Made In Iran Nuclear Talks
Share

China was delighted to see new progress achieved in the latest round of Iran nuclear talks, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in Ufa, Russia, Thursday.

Wang made the remarks in a phone conversation requested by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who briefed the Chinese foreign minister about the latest progress and expressed appreciation over the important role China has played.

"China has been a constructive participant in the Iran nuclear talks," said Wang, who is in the Russian city of Ufa for the annual BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit.

"China stands ready to work with all sides to push for a deal at an early date," he said.

Kerry also exchanged views with Wang about the focal issues in the last phase of the nuclear talks.
