At the end of 2010, the total length of highways amounted to 58,249 km, a year-on-year increase of 4,404 km. Of this total, the length of paved highways added 4,916 km to 8,195 km.

The total number of motor vehicles for civilian use reached 223,100 by the end of 2010, a growth of 14.4 percent from one year ago.

The turnover of post and telecommunication services totaled 6.38 billion yuan, up 22.5 percent over the previous year. Of this total, post services accounted for 184 million yuan, up 8.6 percent, and telecommunication services, 6.2 billion yuan, up 22.9 percent. By the end of 2010, the total phone capacity reached 423,000 lines. Fixed telephone subscribers reached 439,000. This included 419,000 urban subscribers and 20,000 rural subscribers. With 100,000 newly installed lines of mobile phone switchboards, the total capacity reached 1.99 million lines. Mobile phone subscribers numbered 1.58 million by the end of 2010, with 321,000 new subscribers in the year. The number of fixed and mobile phone users totaled 2.02 million, an increase of 220,600 compared with the end of 2009. Phone coverage is 69 sets per 100 persons.

In 2010, the region received a total of 6.85 million visits by tourists from home and abroad, up 22.1 percent from one year earlier. Of this total, the number of domestic tourists increased 21.8 percent to 6.62 million visits, and that of overseas tourists increased 30.5 percent to 228,300 visits. The tourism revenues amounted to 7.14 billion yuan, growing 27.6 percent. Total foreign exchange earnings made from tourism grew 31.6 percent to $103.59 million.

VIII. Public Finance, Banking and Insurance

In 2010, local government fiscal revenue of the region totaled 4.21 billion yuan, representing a growth rate of 36.2 percent over the previous year. Its general budget revenue grew 21.8 percent to 3.67 billion yuan.
