Chinese Vice Premier Meets Burundi's Second Vice President
Share

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met in Beijing Tuesday with Burundi's Second Vice President Gervais Rufyikiri.

China will continue to offer assistance to Burundi within its own capacity, and hopes for closer cooperation in various fields, including trade and economy, agriculture, infrastructure, health and education, Wang said.

Hailing China-Burundi ties, Wang said the two peoples boast a brotherly friendship.

He also voiced the country's willingness to work closely with African countries to promote the success of the upcoming fifth ministerial meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.

Rufyikiri expressed appreciation for China's long-term assistance, saying Burundi will deepen cooperation with China.
