Press Conference Held on Improving People's Livelihood

Four ministries have held a joint news conference. Jiang Weixin, Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Zhu Zhixin, Vice Minister of the National Development and Reform Commission, Zhou Shengxian, Minister of Environmental Protection, as well as Yang Zhiming, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, fielded questions on government plans to improve people's livelihood.

People's livelihood is a top concern for the country's future. Housing, medical care, employment and social security. Four ministries held a joint conference to focus on the government's policies in these areas.

The minister of housing said the government is well on track to build 36 million affordable housing units by 2015 for low-income earners. And it will not relax tightening measures on the property market.
