Share

The sixth Beijing Forum on Human Rights is set to be held in the Chinese capital from Thursday to Friday, with building a sustainable environment for human rights development as the theme.

The annual event was first held in 2008 and has grown to be a key platform for human rights exchange internationally.

It usually had an attendance of up to 100 officials and experts from different countries, regions and international organizations each year.

The upcoming forum is co-organized by China Society for Human Rights Studies, the largest human rights academic group in China, and China Foundation for Human Rights Development, a major civil group.

Discussions on ties between human rights and the rule of law, social development, as well as regional security are high on the agenda.
