Visiting Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is on his final leg of his southeast Asia tour, meeting with senior Vietnamese leaders.
When meeting with General Secretary of the Vietnam Communist Party Nguyen Phu Trong, the two leaders agreed to strengthen the traditional friendship between China and Vietnam, and push the comprehensive, strategic, cooperation partnership to the next level.
During the meeting with Vietnam President Truong Tan Sang, Li noted President Sang has visited China in June, and the two nations should charter the way forward for a steady development path.
Premier Li also met with chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung. Li extended condolences from China over the death of General Vo Nguyen Giap, an outstanding military leader and a close friend of the Chinese people. (CNTV.cn October 14, 2013) |
