British PM's Weibo Account Draws Funny Queries

A hot pot is definitely a feast on a cold winter's day. And British Prime Minister David Cameron tucked into a spicy one in Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province. Besides eating, Cameron also had a go at ping-pong or table-tennis with pupils in Chengdu. Before his arrival in China, Cameron opened his account on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.

Within a week, his followers have surged to over 300,000. Prime Minister Cameron has asked Chinese Weibo users to leave questions for him promising he will answer some of them.

Seeing many foreign leaders opening their Weibo account, some have wondered if China's President Xi Jinping will also open one.

Many users religiously follow British TV series. Some asked Cameron to help with releasing another season of the hit BBC series Sherlock. They say one season in two years is quite a torture for fans. They also want to see the characters of Matthew and Sybil from Downton Abbey revived.

Larry the cat is always in the spotlight. Cat lovers showed their fondness for the Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office.

Shopaholics even enquired if the PM could make foreign purchases?

With many cities in China continuing to choke on smog, users also asked Cameron about how he felt about London being robbed of its title "The City of Fog"?
