Air China is China's state owned and second-largest commercial airline after China Southern Airlines. It is the flag carrier and the only airline in the world to fly the national flag on its entire fleet. It's main hubs are Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai Pudong airports. Air China currently flies to approximately 120 destinations; the most destinations from its own Beijing hub.

China United Airlines is an airline based in Beijing. It operates scheduled charter services in cooperation with local enterprises as well as ordinary scheduled services. Its main base is Beijing Nanyuan Airport. China United is the only airline that uses this airport, a former military airfield 18 kilometers to the south of central Beijing.
Shandong Airlines is an airline based in Jinan, Shandong, China. It is a provincial carrier operating mainly domestic trunk routes and secondary schedules from Jinan, Qingdao and Yantai to major cities in China.

The airline operates a scheduled passenger network to 29 destinations in 11 countries and territories, including codeshares, across the Asia-Pacific region.

EVA Air is largely privately owned and flies a fully international route network. It is the second largest Taiwanese airline, next in size to its main rival, China Airlines. EVA Air is headquartered in Lujhu, Taoyuan County.
Mandarin Airlines is an airline based in Taipei of Taiwan, as China Airlines's regional and domestic subsidiary. It also operates charter services. Its main base is Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
TransAsia Airways is an airline based in Taipei, Taiwan. It mainly serves the domestic market but also has limited scheduled international services to Macau and South Korea and charter services to some holiday destinations.
Uni Air is an airline based in Taiwan. It is a domestic and regional subsidiary of EVA Air. The airline has had the largest market share in the domestic Taiwan market in recent years, and has expanded to include international flights. A few of its McDonnell Douglas MD-90 aircraft have been repainted and are flying for parent carrier EVA Air due to overcapacity. In recent years, Uni Air has launched services to international destinations from the southern Taiwanese port city of Kaohsiung. In 2007, the airline received permission to begin flights to Japan.
