China's second cargo of aid materials, worth 12 million yuan, is now ready for delivery to Haiti. Chinese nationals stranded in the quake stricken nation have now congregated, and are living together. They say they are in good physical and psychological condition.
A team from the Chinese Foreign Ministry has sent food and drinking water to Haiti's Chinese nationals on several occasions. Most of the group has settled in a Chinese restaurant. The team says the Foreign Ministry is making every effort to confirm the identity of those who lost their passports, and will then transport them home by charter plane.
Zheng Cheng, Chinese Nationas stranded in Haiti, said, "The Foreign Ministry has offered us timely assistance, and arranged such a good place for us to live. We are very grateful, and feel that the motherland gave us a hand when we were in the biggest danger."
