The Beijing Cultural Palace of Nationalities recently sponsored an exhibition of art treasures the central government has received from Dalai and Bainqen lamas of various generations. The exhibition enabled visitors to comprehend the long-lasting close relations between the upper strata of Tibetan religious circles and the central government.
The exhibits included various exquisite and profound religious icons laden with Tibetan and Buddhist cultural art. They also offered ironclad evidence that Tibet has been an inalienable part of Chinese territory since ancient times.
Historic documents and materials in the exhibition explain that the titles of Tibet's Buddhist leaders, including Dalai and Bainqen lamas from previous generations, have all been held with the approval of the central government.
