Volunteers Prepare for the 13th CIFIT

A volunteers training meeting for the 13th CIFIT organized by the Organizing Committee of 13th CIFIT was held at Xiamen People's Hall August 29 where nearly one thousand volunteers took part in.

Deputy mayor Huang Ling spoke at the training meeting.

It is reported that there are a total of 905 volunteers recruited for the 13th CIFIT. Most of them are students selected from Xiamen University, Jimei University, Xiamen University of Technology, Xiamen Industrial and the Commercial and Tourism School.

The Ministry of Commerce and the Organizing Committee has attached great importance to the volunteers training.

The training content includes the explaining of basic etiquette, standardization of appearance behavior and language behavior, and the general situation of the 13th CIFIT.

Moreover, to further enhance the service level of the 13th CIFIT, in addition to these basic training contents, the Organizing Committee has invited the advanced translators in Xiamen to train the volunteers' strain and cross-cultural communication skills during interpretation.
