Share

Ahead of the 100-year anniversary of Tsinghua University, one of the most famous and prestigious in China, President Hu Jintao, himself a former student, has made a special inspection tour of the campus.

While visiting an exhibition of the university's history, Hu praised the achievements Tsinghua has made during the past century.

President Hu also visited the Network Research Center to discover more about the next generation of Internet projects. The Water Conservancy Center, where President Hu used to study, was his next stop. Hu talked to his former classmates, and sang the department song along with current professors and students.

Tsinghua University was established on April 29, 1911, and celebrates its 100th anniversary on April 24.
