Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Rail to Conduct Test Run
Share

The high-speed railway network linking Beijing and Shanghai has passed its tuning phase. And a Ministry of Railways spokesman says a test run will take place on May 11.

The Beijing-to-Shanghai railway is expected to open at the end of June. But despite the progress, the ministry says China's railway program will be pressured by funds shortages during this 5-year period. It says it will closely work with both the central and local governments to solve the issue.
