A Steady Start to the Year

It looks as though the Chinese economy will continue its stable growth trend this year.

According to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics on April 15, China's GDP totaled 11.89 trillion yuan in the first quarter and registered a 7.7-percent year-on-year growth, above the 7.5-percent full-year target for 2013 set by the government last month.
