The China National Opera and Ballet Co. performs Concerto (XU XIANCUN)

The Spring of '96 Beijing Ballet Week held at the Beijing Polly Plaza International Theater staged performances by the China National Opera and Ballet Co. and the Finnish National Ballet, which coincided with the visit of the Finnish president to China.

The two performances by the Finnish National Ballet featured selections from The Nutcracker Suite and Don Quixote. Beijing audiences found themselves in an entirely new world as they admired the artistry of Scandinavian dancers.
