Pakistan's online national pavilion opens in China

Pakistan’s Online National Pavilion opened on China’s leading e-commerce platform JD.com (Jingdong) to enhance the Pakistani high-quality products in China and promote bilateral trade. 

The inauguration ceremony for Pakistan’s National Pavilion at JD.com was held at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing, where Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Moin ul Haque inaugurated Pakistan’s first online national pavilion in China. 

While thanking Prestige International for setting up Pakistan’s online pavilion, Ambassador Haque said that in view of growing trade and business ties between Pakistan and China, the national pavilion would provide a useful platform to Pakistani and Chinese traders to promote Pakistan’s high-quality products through China’s huge online market. 

Haque further said that while the pavilion will serve as a starting point in further exploring excellent opportunities offered by the Chinese digital economy. 

It would also complement the efforts of Pakistan’s offline pavilions which have already been in active operation in various cities of China including Chengdu, Kunming, Urumqi, Yiwu, and Zhengzhou. 

Moreover, this pavilion would also provide a window for promoting Pakistan’s culture, cuisine, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. 

“We are working to establish another offline Pakistan pavilion in Beijing, and we are on the path to achieve historic figures this year in overall bilateral trade. 

We hope this year our bilateral trade would be 24 billion, which is the highest figure ever and our export to China would be around 3.4 billion, which is also a historic figure,” he added. 

Tony Meng, Director of the international department of Prestige International said that they are establishing an APP both in English and Chinese that would help Pakistani enterprises to get knowledge about the Chinese market and make the operation of their business smoothly. 

He further said that more than a hundred enterprises are collaborating with them in the first phase of cooperation and they would promote Pakistani agricultural and finishing products in this phase.
