China's top legislature started a plenary meeting in Beijing on Saturday morning to elect the country's new leadership.

To be elected are chairman, vice-chairpersons, secretary-general and members of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress, president and vice-president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), and chairman of the Central Military Commission of the PRC.
