The Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) today is the most representative and large-scale book forum in Russia. For Russian book business people, MIBF has been the most significant yearly event since its inception in 1977; people go to this book fair to establish new and maintain old contacts, to sell or buy books and publication rights, and investigate the market. This is a professional event, the participation in which is an indispensable factor of market assimilation.

Each day of MIBF activities is organized as the book festivity. A whole network of business centres awaits foreign participants: five conference halls, stands of social bodies, business centre, press centre, information service, and agency center; specially for book publishing practical persons there are prepared meetings with heads of book-publishing branch of Russia. This year's fair takes place from September 3 to 8.
