 Readers' Letters 2004

 March 4th, 2004

On my trip to Beijing last week I was intrigued by your magazine which I saw in a bookstore and immediately I found it to be the perfect advertising medium for my company.

I was in China a few times, every time I bought a couple of issues of Beijing Review, and found it a really good source of information on current events in China. I would like to subscribe to the magazine.

I used to borrow some of our old collections of Beijing Review in our library at the University since I began my teaching job last year. I found it very informative and the articles are very different - not the typical stories you would find in other mags. Early this year, I realized the importance of having my own copy so I can peruse anytime I want to and so I started collecting last January 2004.

I do appreciate your having a column (Expat's Eye) intended for foreigners who would want to share wonderful insights about their life in China.

First of all, I'm very impressed by your weekly editorials Beijing Review. There are interesting worldwide news up to date, covering political, economic and social issues.

I'm very keen on one day to settle in Chinese Mainland.-- When I read your article from Vol. 47 No. 40 about obtaining the green card, it seems very difficult to be granted one, though.
