Share

The Chinese martial arts film Wu Xia will get a video-on-demand release on iTunes in North America on October 26, Film Business Asia reports.

The Weinstein Company is in charge of this distribution in North America, where the film is renamed Dragon. A limited theatrical release is scheduled on November 30.

Directed by Peter Chan, the film stars Donnie Yen as a repentant killer living a reclusive life with his family in a small village, but the arrival of a detective (Takeshi Kaneshiro) threatens to end the tranquility. Tang Wei plays the killer's wife.

The film was screened at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. It was released in China on July 4, 2011.
