Milwaukee Bucks Take Yi Jianlian at 2007 NBA Draft
Yi Jianlian, a powerful Chinese forward from Guangdong Southern Tigers, shakes hands with NBA chief David Stern after being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks with the No. 6 pick at 2007 NBA Draft on June 29, 2007. The 7-foot forward will be the fourth Chinese player to make the NBA, but there's no guarantee that he'll make the same impact as Yao Ming, who was selected by the Houston Rockets with the first pick in 2002. "I played for a national team for a couple of years, and I think I'm ready," Yi said immediately after the pick. (Xinhua)
