Eleven people were injured in the hydrogen explosion at the No.3 reactor of Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant Monday, said the Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPOC).

Separately, sources from the defense ministry said that one Self-Defense Forces (SDF) officer suffered a bone fracture in the blast.

The container of the reactor remained intact following the explosion, said the TEPOC.
