Wu Guanzheng

Wu Guanzheng, of the Han ethnic group and a native of Yugan, Jiangxi Province, was born in August 1938. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in March 1962 and began working in April 1968. He graduated from the Specialty of Thermal Measurement and Automatic Control of the Power Department of Tsinghua University. A postgraduate, he holds the title of engineer.
He is now member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee.
1959-65 Studied in the Specialty of Thermal Measurement and Automatic Control of the Power Department of Tsinghua University and acted as secretary of the branch of the Communist Youth League of China of the department
1965-68 Postgraduate in the Specialty of Thermal Measurement and Automatic Control of the Power Department of Tsinghua University and deputy secretary of the department's Party branch
1968-75 Technician at the Gedian Chemical Plant in Wuhan, Hubei Province, deputy chief of the plant's technology section, head of its workshop, member of the plant's Party committee, and deputy head of the plant's Revolutionary Committee
1975-82 Deputy director of the Wuhan Municipal Science and Technology Committee, Hubei Province, and member of itsLeading Party Member Group, vice chairman of the Wuhan Municipal Science and Technology Association and member of its Leading Party Member Group, deputy chief of the Wuhan Municipal Innovation, Transformation and Potential-Tapping Headquarters and head ofthe office of the headquarters, director of the Wuhan Municipal Center for Engineering Science and Technology and secretary of its Party committee

He is member of the 16th CPC Central Committee, and member and Standing Committee member of its Political Bureau.He was elected member, Standing Committee member and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection at the 16th CPC National Congress.
