China-Russia Naval Drills End With Closer Military Ties
Share

China and Russia have wrapped up their joint naval drills in the Yellow Sea, deepening the partnership between the countries and building ties between their militaries.

The large-scale drills, taking place between April 22 and 27, brought together a total of 25 naval vessels, 13 aircrafts, nine helicopters, and two special fighting groups. It featured defense of air and maritime traffic routes, search and rescue operations, and anti-submarine tactics.

The drill consisted of four stages: operation planning, troop exercises, fleet review, and exchanges and discussion. The live-fire practice on air, sea and underwater targets was a climax of the 6-day exercises, which was followed by a fleet review on Thursday afternoon.
